Description
This hat is made super large in PURE WOOL. Once crocheted place it in a lingerie bag (so that excess fibres don’t clog the machine) and put it in the washing machine for 20 minutes (maybe more). Use the lowest water level. Not too hot either, you don’t want to remove the colour. Add washing powder. The soap and agitation will felt the wool and make it shrink to size. We hear lots of successful stories about customers creating these hats, especially in the rainbow colours of the Kauni EQ and sending them all around the world. Yarn Recommendations: 1 ball of Kauni yarn (will make 2 hats); 2 balls of Ashford Tekapo ; 1 hank (200 gms) of Te Awa pure wool; Crochet Hook: for the Kauni yarn use a 4.5 mm (G); for the Ashford and Te Awa use a 5.5 mm (I) hook
