Guess who is a finalist in the Australian Yarn Show Crochet Designer Category? That would be Me!

Next week I travel to Canberra to teach 3 different classes and by the time I arrive they will probably be all be sold out.

I’m teaching Crochet Jewellry, Australian Native Flowers and Shape Shifting Shawls.

I’m delighted to be hosting a crochet clinic on Sunday afternoon so that you can some can sit with me and bring any problems you are having with your crochet and I will help you solve them.

The most exciting thing of all for me, apart from the fact that by this time I may be a winner, is that I will be launching not one, but two mystery projects on Saturday Afternoon. Bring your yarns and come join me for this!!!!!!!

One is a brand-new stitch I’ve named the Mermaid Stitch, and the other is a brand-new design called the Climate Changer!

I’m finally allowed to share the promotional blurb for them:

Experience the magic of the “Climate Changer” as it brings your colour choices to life right before your eyes. Created by Jenny especially for the Australian Yarn Show, this unique design makes recycling both simple and fun. With the 3-colour swap technique, you won’t need to worry about finishing off countless tails. You’ll be busting your stash, mastering new stitches, and watching the mystery project that caters to your personal climate needs emerge, but only when it’s complete. Join me to discover fabulous new stitches and marvel at the beauty that unfolds effortlessly.”

The Mermaid Stitch in crochet is a captivating and visually stunning pattern that captures the smooth, iridescent beauty of a mermaid’s tail. This exquisite stitch is perfect for infusing your projects with a touch of enchanting whimsy. The pattern features a mesmerizing two-step, two-colour technique, where self-striping yarn is elegantly overlapped and encased by a smooth, shiny yarn, creating a breathtaking visual effect that is truly one-of-a-kind.”

I love this stitch so much that I have designed a top using it and I will be wearing it to teach.

I can’t wait to see you there!
